AquaGreen Appoints Carsten Riisberg Lund as Chairman of the Board
AquaGreen is pleased to announce the appointment of Carsten Riisberg Lund as Chairman of the Board.
Carsten brings more than three decades of international leadership experience from some of the world's most demanding industrial sectors, combined with a strong commitment to supporting the growth and scaling of innovative green technology companies.
Throughout a distinguished 30-year career at FLSmidth, Carsten progressed from Process Engineer to President of the company's global Cement business. In this role, he led large capital-intensive operations across Europe, the Americas, North Africa, and India, holding full P&L responsibility while driving growth, operational excellence, and international expansion. He also played a key role in transforming the Cement division through sustainability initiatives, digitalisation, and the modernization of industrial processes.
In addition to his extensive industrial background, Carsten is deeply engaged in the green technology sector through NED seats and Board Chair positions, where he actively supports companies through growth and scale-up phases. Known for his hands-on approach, he contributes not only strategic oversight but also active participation in business development, organizational scaling, and key strategic discussions.
"We are delighted to welcome Carsten as Chairman of the Board," said Thomas Nygaard Hamann, CEO, AquaGreen. "His unique combination of industrial leadership, scale-up experience, and dedication to supporting growth-stage green technology companies makes him an ideal Chairman for AquaGreen as we accelerate commercialisation and international expansion."
Carsten Riisberg Lund commented:
"AquaGreen has developed a highly compelling technology platform with the potential to create significant environmental and commercial impact. I look forward to working closely with the board and management team to support the company's continued growth and help realize its full potential."
As AquaGreen enters its next phase of growth, Carsten's extensive experience in industrial scale-up, sustainability transformation, and strategic business development will further strengthen the company's ability to execute on its ambitious plans and expand its global footprint.
